Mexican Spirit Animal:
This is made from low fire white. For the construction of this piece I shaped out an oval-ish shape for the body and brought it together at the bottom to form the shape of where the shell would end. and for the shell I rolled out a slab and cut it to fit the shape of the body. And for the flippers and head I just shaped out the clay. I hollowed the whole thing out on the bottom. And for my glazes I used the mayco glazes lime light for the base, blue yonder, orange a peel, rosey posey, sunkissed, and some sort of darker green (I forgot the name). My inspiration for this came out of my classmates work. I saw many others Mexican spirit animals coming out of the kiln and that's  where I got the inspiration for the glazes.

Current Artist Piece:
This is made out of Low fire white. This piece is inspired by the artist Keith Haring. It's a slab vase construction. So I  drew the shape of what I wanted  the sides to be on paper and  cut out the shapes and traced out the shape  on all 4 slabs and blended them together and put just a square slab bottom and blended that in. The glazes are Cotton tail, blue yonder, sunkissed, orange - a - peel, and rosey posey. I drew the shape of the figures and then painted them. I am happy with the way this turned out but I do wish the sides looks a bit smoother.

Mask:
This is a slab mask made out of low fire white. For the construction of this I got most of my inspiration from Jessica's mask. It's a slab base with rolled out coils for eyebrows, and a cut slab for a mouth and eyes, and I shaped the nose just by sculpting it. For the colors on the glaze I was inspired by the childrens book "a bad case of the stripes" I wanted to put that idea of layers of different colors and it didn't work out quite how I wanted but overall it came out okay. The glazes I used are the mayco glazes, cotton tail, gray hare, blue yonder, tuxedo, and the dark blue and violet ones,

whimsical house:
This is made from low fire white. For the construction of this piece I got my inspiration from pinterest (the image below). I made the bottom part of the house out of a slab. And the roof as well. For the roof I made a circle slab and cut a slit to blend it together to make the roof shape. Then I sculpted the flower petals on the roof. And I also sculpted the windows and doors and score and slipped them on too. Then the chimney is also a slab similar to the construction of the bottom half of the house. The glazes are all mayco. I used lime light, blue yonder, rosey posey, sunkissed, and the violet color. I am very happy with the way this came out.
